Day 1: Arrive at the San Jose International Airport. After clearing customs and immigration exit the airport and meet your driver. Board the van to start the 2 and ½ hour drive to the Arenal Region. Enjoy the drive up the northern mountains of the Central Valley, then down towards the flatlands of San Carlos. Arrive at the Arenal region and check into your hotel.
Days 2 and 3: Days at your leisure to enjoy the Arenal Volcano region. Consider the list of recommended half and full-day tours listed below. While in Arenal (activities optional and not included):
Relax at the country’s top hot springs resorts featuring breath-taking volcano views and lush tropical gardens. Some of Costa Rica’s top spas and therapists make Arenal their home. (The hot springs are included for those staying at Arenal Kioro or Tabacón Grand Spa.)
Visit the Fortuna River Waterfalls, located a short three miles from town. Here, you can see magnificent waterfalls cascade into the rainforest and have the opportunity to hike and swim in the river.
Go rafting on the Sarapiqui River. The river has Class III and IV rafting for adventure aficionados and Floating Safari Class II rafting for slower paced, nature lovers. Both are excellent tours featuring amazing scenery, interesting wildlife and thrilling adventure.
Try canyoning, one of the country's top adventure activities. Rappel down five walls, including four waterfalls, inside the rainforest -- truly an unforgettable experience!
Tour the forest from the Hanging Bridges Tour. This is an impressive hike in the rainforest over a series of suspension bridges. View various types of flora and fauna at differing heights—from the ground to well above the canopy. What a way to see the jungle!
Experience the thrill of travelling through the canopy of the rainforest on the Sky Trek aerial Tram, one of Costa Rica’s most popular tours. Enjoy the rain forest from this unique vantage point and a get a real adrenaline rush!
On your way to El Castillo and the Sky Trek, stop at the Arenal National Park where you will learn all about the Arenal Volcano and its history.
Extreme adventure aficionados will thrive during a visit to the Venado Caves. Spend 1½ to 2 hours in a guided visit, climbing walls, sliding through mud-holes, hiking in underground rivers, and exploring these unique caves. Your clothes are likely to be ruined, but the adrenaline rush makes it worth it.
Overnight in at your Arenal Volcano hotel.
Day 4: Morning to enjoy the resort. Board the van for the transfer to the Guanacaste region. This 4 hour drive takes you around Lake Arenal into the town of Tilaran. The drive will transfer you from lush rainforest to the tropical dry forests of the Guanacaste Savannah. Drive through Tilaran and Canas and merge into the Interamerican Highway en route to Liberia, the capital of the Guanacaste Province. Continue south southwest until reaching the Pacific shores. Check into your beach hotel and enjoy the all inclusive program. Days 5 - 7: Enjoy the amenities of the Resort and explore the region. (Activities optional and not included):
Explore the beaches – north to Playa Grande, Playa Ventanas, Conchal, Brasilito, all the way to Flamingo. To the south, explore Playa Langosta and Playa Negra.
Enjoy a leisurely boat ride through the dry tropical forest on a tour to the Palo Verde National Park. This park is home to amazing wildlife, including two species of monkeys, sloths, tropical birds, coatimundis, and unique reptiles.
Visit the Rincón de la Vieja National Park and some of the mud baths and hot springs in the region. This park offers the opportunity to select from a wide range of activities including challenging hikes, relaxing hot mud baths, exciting tours on horseback, and one of Costa Rica’s top canopy adventures.
Play golf at Hacienda Pinilla in Playa Langosta or at the Robert Trent Jones golf course at the Reserva Conchal. Explore the native mangroves in Tamarindo on a sea kayaking tour. Spot two types of monkeys, exotic birds and other local wildlife while paddling down the estuary.
Spend several hours on a snorkelling or diving expedition. Spot the unique marine wildlife of the Pacific shores of Guanacaste.
Go Fishing! Stay in-shore for a half-day outing in search of snapper, wahoo, mahi-mahi, and mackerel, or spend the full day offshore fishing for sailfish and marlin with an expert crew professionally equipped and guided by late model electronics.

Day 8: Enjoy your last morning at the resort. At a time TBD, your driver will pick you up for the transfer to the Liberia International Airport. Check in for your return flight back home.
