Costa Rica has a worldwide reputation for being a nature and adventure destination. Most regions within the country offer different activities in or around National Parks or Nature Reserves It’s no surprise that our Top 3 Nature Destinations include some of the country's top Parks and Reserves.

Top 3 Nature Destinations
1. Corcovado. This relatively small area is home to many tropical species of flora and fauna including the endangered tigrillo (mountain tiger) and the colorful Pacific Scarlet Macaw.
2. Tortuguero. Many guidebooks refer to Tortuguero as the “Amazon of Costa Rica,” because it offers dense, unspoiled rainforest. Fresh and salt water canals provide the only means of transportation available to visitors, and a few select lodges provide basic accommodations. An added bonus for visitors from June through September: Tortuguero is a protected site for Giant Green Turtles during their nesting season.
3. Monteverde. Home to the rare Cloud Forest phenomenon. Monteverde, one of the country’s most visited national parks, offers the unique opportunity to explore the Cloud Forest from various perspectives through hikes, suspended bridges or on one of many canopy adventures.
