These are some of our favorite emails received from couples returning from their Costa Rica Honeymoon in 2005:
"Honeymoon was excellent; We loved it, and other than 2 rainy days in Manuel Antonio, the weather was beautiful. A couple of tours/excursions were dissapointing, but overall the tours were fun and exciting (and very well scheduled and planned). You did an excellent job of putting everything together, and I was planning on calling to thank you, but things have been hectic since we got back".

"Overall the trip was amazing and we had a great honeymoon. Thank you for planning a great trip for us. The hotel in San Jose was a great way to start off our honeymoon. the room was very cozy, the service was great and the food at the restaurant was good too. we needed that afternoon/night to unwind and it was perfect. we totally LOVED punta islita. the staff there is unbelievably attentive and friendly. it was the perfect honeymoon spot. we are already talking about going back next year...we did have a great time overall. we fell in love with the country of Costa Rica and we definitely would love to go back soon. thanks for all of you help".

"Hi Marc - I'm sorry it has taken me so long to respond...we had a fantastic time!!! All of your recommendations were great and the people we met were all so friendly! We LOVED Lapa Rios and Tabacon. At Lapa Rios, we did the Night Hike on our last night there...I would recommend to future travelers to do it on their first night there...it was awesome and we learned how/where to look for the wildlife at night. We wished we had done it sooner. We also ended up taking surfing lessons and doing the all day adventure hike. I would also tell people that go there how amazing the tuna salad with mangos and cashews sandwich is....all of the food at Lapa Rios was great, but I wish I could've had many more of those sandwiches :-) It was cloudy in Arenal but we were lucky to finally see the volcano and lava on our last day there. We met two groups from Gaithersburg there which was weird! Monteverde was great too and we loved the zip lines. We didn't love the hotel restaurant, but we went to De Lucia the second night based on your recommendation and loved it there. Also, in San Jose, the Grano de Oro was very nice. That night we went to dinner at Cocina de Lena based on the recommendation of one of our drivers and loved that too... Thanks again for planning the perfect honeymoon for us!! We loved it :-) Let me know if you have questions about any specific parts of the trip. Take care,"

"We had such a phenomenal time! The people were great, the food was awesome, and all our tours were incredible. I was meaning to write to you to send you the thanks for planning such an unforgettable honeymoon. I have been recommending you guys to all my friends. I really couldn't have asked for a better trip. I even went surfing! Thanks again.
P.S. I will definitely be planning another trip some time in the future. I was so sad to end our mini getaway".

"Tori and I had an amazing honeymoon experience in Costa Rica and we owe it all to you! We have done an abundance of traveling and have never been treated so well. Everything, and I mean everything went smoothly. From the time we arrived in Costa Rica until the time we left we never felt lost or uncared for. There was always someone there to meet us, greet us, and take our bags. There was always someone there to explain what was happening or to offer us a cold drink or a cold wash cloth to cool our selves. Each of the accommodations were fantastic in their own right. The Marriott in San Jose was like no Marriott I have ever stayed out. As a matter of fact, we liked it so much that we went back for breakfast and to buy souvenirs twice after staying there the first night. The hotel staff there was outstanding and very kind. The Laguna Lodge was very nice. Simple and rustic but served it's purpose just fine. The staff was very accommodating and our tour leader Guido was excellent. He understood that Tori and I spoke very little Spanish and he made sure we got a translation of everything that was said. The canal tours, hikes through the jungle, and turtle viewing all made staying at Laguna Lodge a great experience. Lapa Rios, What can I say...Someone wrote in one of the journals at the front desk that Lapa Rios is a place that everyone should visit once in their lifetime. Tori and I disagree. We think it is a place that everyone should visit at least twice in a lifetime. The bungalows are ridiculous(I mean that in a good way) With amazing views of the rainforest and Pacific ocean, we were just overwhelmed by the beauty of it all. By far, Lapa Rios was our favorite. The staff treated us as if we were celebrities staying at a 5 star hotel. We applaud the philosophy and work they are doing at the preserve and we will definitely be back...Did I mention how unbelievable the bungalows were!! Our stay at Flor Blanca was also perfect. The owners and staff went out of their way to welcome us and take care of any of our needs. The Villa was totally cool and we loved the air conditioned bedroom with the great canopy bed! While on our trip we took the canal boat tour, visited the banana plantation, hiked through the rainforest(several different times), saw green sea turtles on the beach, rode ATV's(fun, fun, fun) went fishing(caught fish and had it for dinner), went zip lining through the canopy, snorkeled in the tide pools, saw a humpback whale breach out of the water five time from a distance of 300 yds, ate unbelievably delicious food, slept under shade trees, drank plenty of good wine....and had the time of our lives!! We will be going back to Costa Rica and we will only be using you and your travel agency to get us there. I give you high marks for the way you handled everything. There wasn't any detail you didn't take care of for us. I will recommend you to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced, well thought out, and memorable trip. Thanks for everything...Because of you, my wife also thinks I'm amazing;)"

"We're back from the honeymoon, and transitioning back to reality. Thank you for arranging such a lovely trip! Everything was wonderful, and your advice was right-on about pretty much everything. You should be even more forceful when recommending La Paz to people - it was our favorite hotel and park by far and we're so happy we decided to add that in to our itinerary. But we loved everything and it was the perfect honeymoon for us.
Let me know if there's anything we can do for you (reviews, recommendations?).
The local office was also very helpful. A series of miscommunications and blunders led to my mother being told I had broken my arm and we had left Costa Rica, cancelling the whole trip, causing her to panic, but in the end that turned out to be a funny story ......"

"Alan and I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful job you did on arranging our honeymoon. We just got back and had an amazing time. All of the accomodations were wonderful and the service was excellent. Even the transports went without a hitch. The locations you chose for us were perfect...from the cloud forest to the beautiful beaches of the Nicoya peninsula. It was a great snapshot of a beautiful country.
You were right! Lapa Rios was one of the best! (and buggiest!). Since Alan and I love to eat out, we wanted to tell you about some great restaurant finds that you may want to share with some of your other clients.
In Monteverde, Sofia's was awesome. Excellent Nuevo Latino cuisine and increadible prices.
In San Jose we went to La Luz; also inexpensive and very romantic overlooking the valley.
Again, thanks so much for the great job. We will defintely tell all our friends about Memorable Costa Rica when they plan their trip!
PS: the whitewater rafting was definitely not that scary!
Sincerely,
Alan and Teri, Miami FL, July 2005
"It was fantastic!! We were very happy with all of the arrangements and Tango Mar was more than we could have asked for. Thank you so much for your assistance. We hope to be going back sooner than later".
Take care,

"Thanks for following up. We've been meaning to e-mail you since we got back last week, but it has just been incredibly hectic. So how was the honeymoon you ask? Well, it was amazing for the better part of it. The drivers from JJ Tours (Jose and another guy whose name I can't remember)were awesome and punctual. Tabacon was beyond what Emily and I had imagined. The service, hospitality and attentiveness of the staff there were immaculate. They made us wish we would have spent more days at Tabacon and we would actually love to go back there again. Just everything there was top notch from the room to the food, to the incredible hot springs... everything. Our two tours there were excellent as well. The guide for the volcano hike was very knowledgeable and made the hike a lot of fun. Then the guys from Puretrek were a blast during our canyoning trip. Being a rock climber myself, I was very impressed with their safety precautions and I would recommend them to anyone that wanted to go rappelling down waterfalls in Costa Rica. And the guides from Aguas Bravas were just as fun, safety-minded and knowledgeable. Our guide Gerald taught us a lot about Costa Rica during that trip.
We also appreciated your staff in Costa Rica for their desire to help us when we called. All in all, kudos to you for putting this honeymoon together for us. We look forward to maybe going back to Costa Rica in the near future.... So we will be probably requesting your services again in the near future. Thanks for all your help putting this vacation together for us".

"It was very nice we will visit Costa Rica again. We want to bring the kids back. Tabacon was the best. We also thought that the people were wonderful and the food was great. We dont think horseback riding is something we will ever do again!!!!!!! My horse decided to jump in a river and take a swim and then dump me off fully dressed with my camera. When we returned to the tango mar they said we should have known we might get wet. That was the only problem we had. We thought it was cool to see all the monkeys and other wildlife. Marvin one of our other transfers was great also.
Thank you".

"Michael and I wanted to say thank you for arranging such a fantastic honeymoon for us. We love Costa Rica! The people were so wonderful and Punta Islita was breathtaking. We definitely want to go back. The reservations were perfect and the transfers always on time and a pleasure. And thank you for rearranging the rafting trip for us – the Eco-Center tour was so much fun! We will rave to everyone about CR and certainly recommend your services. Thanks again!
Best",
