This 8-Day / 7-Night Costa Rica family vacation package focuses on two nature-intense regions, mixing the more developed and activity-filled Manuel Antonio in the Central Pacific with a three night stay in Corcovado / Osa, the most ecologically diverse region on the planet. Due to the remote location, difficult travel conditions and long hikes in the parks, Corcovado is not a good fit for children under eight years old.
Day 1: Arrive at the San Jose International Airport. A contact person will pick you up in the customs area and take you to meet your driver. Board the van for the 3½ hour transfer to Manuel Antonio. This beautiful drive will take you west of the Central Valley to Atenas, down the southern mountains of the Central Valley towards Orotina, home to some of the country’s top fruit producers, and on to the Pacific shores. Check in to your hotel in Manuel Antonio, and take the rest of the afternoon to explore the region.
Day 2 – 4: Enjoy the hotel and Manuel Antonio. Optional activities include fishing, kayaking, sailing, snorkeling, mangrove kayaking tour, horseback riding, white water rafting, and canopying. Overnight in Manuel Antonio.
Day 5: Check out of the hotel and board the van for the short transfer to the Quepos airstrip. Check in to your 25-minute flight to the Osa Peninsula / Corcovado. Upon landing, you will be transferred to your hotel. Check in and take the rest of the afternoon to explore the region.
Day 6 - 7: Start your exploration of Costa Rica’s most eco-diverse region with a guided hike in the National Park. Take the rest of the day to enjoy the hotel and explore the region. Overnight in Osa / Corcovado.
Day 8: Check out of the hotel and board the van for your short transfer to the local airstrip. Check in to the 50-minute flight to San Jose. Upon landing, you will be transferred to San Jose International Airport for your return flight.
