Relax in style in Costa Rica! Our Golden Beach and Hot Springs Yoga & Spa Bliss package will recharge your soul, rest your body and strengthen your yoga practice. Seek out balance as you bask in the rainforest’s natural energy and the tranquility of secluded and private golden sandy beaches on the Pacific shores of Costa Rica. First, travel to the Hotel Tango Mar, one of the country’s beachfront lodging gems. Stay at Tango Mar’s luxury accommodations while you enjoy three days of yoga and spa on sun-drenched beaches. After luxuriating in Tango Mar’s exceptional offerings, experience three additional days of yoga and spa at Costa Rica’s top hot springs resort destination, Tabacon Resort. At the heart of the tropical rainforest, Tabacon is nestled at the base of the renowned Arenal Volcano. Daily yoga sessions led by local, professional instructors are scheduled in the mornings and evenings, giving guests plenty of time during the day to explore the area, embark on adventure activities and be pampered from a choice of spa treatments.

The following sample itinerary can be customized to meet each of our guest’s expectations:

Day 1: Arrive in San Jose. After clearing immigration and customs, board the van for private transfer to Hotel Grano de Oro, one of the city’s top bed & breakfasts, conveniently located to access top restaurants, downtown cultural attractions and the shopping districts.

Day 2: After breakfast, check out of Grano de Oro, and board the van for the picturesque two hour drive to the Pacific port of Puntarenas. The beautiful drive will take you past coffee plantations in Naranjo and down the western mountains of the Central Valley. Once at port, board the awaiting vessel for a speedy transfer to the Tango Mar beach. Check into a standard ocean view room at renowned Hotel Tango Mar. After check in, enjoy your first Costa Rican yoga session.

Day 3: An early morning yoga practice will awaken your mind and body. After a traditional Costa Rican breakfast, take the morning to relax and enjoy the beach and the resort. In the afternoon, be pampered during a one hour spa treatment of your choice. Have another yoga session in the evening.

Day 4: After an early morning yoga session and breakfast, embark on a full day tour of your choice. Select from an exciting range of activities that include tours on horseback riding, snorkeling, nature floats and ocean kayaking. Return to the resort for the evening yoga session. Overnight in a standard ocean view room at Tango Mar.

Day 5: Enjoy your last yoga session at the beach, followed by breakfast. Check out of Tango Mar and board the private van for the ferry crossing and four hour drive to the Arenal Volcano Region, the heart of the rainforest and home to Costa Rica’s most active volcano. The scenic drive will bring you through the Gulf of Nicoya. Once you reach the city of Puntarenas the drive will turn north up the mountains towards San Ramon. The weather will change somewhat abruptly as you enter a region that is covered with primary and secondary forest. The drive will then continue through the fertile region of San Ramon, leading to the San Carlos flatlands, home to some of Costa Rica’s top agricultural products, including oranges, papayas and cassava. Arrive in the Arenal Volcano Region and check in to your standard room at Tabacon Resort, Costa Rica’s best known hot springs spa resort. In the evening, you will participate in a relaxing yoga session in Tabacon’s unique yoga studio, which is surrounded by lush gardens and rainforest.

Day 6: Arise early to practice yoga on the banks of the Tabacon Hot Springs River, and be joined by Howler monkeys and tropical birds. After breakfast, relax and unwind in the hot springs. Choose a one hour spa treatment at the magnificent Iskandria Spa. Before sundown, join the yoga class at Tabacon’s studio. Overnight in a standard room in Tabacon Resort.

Day 7: Early morning yoga session followed by breakfast. Your last full day in the region will give you the opportunity to enjoy an exhilarating nature adventure. Choose between Class III white water rafting, nature floats, nature hikes, canyoning or the acclaimed Sky Tram / Sky Trek experience. Return to the resort in time for a dip in the hot springs and a relaxing yoga session.

Day 8: After an early morning yoga class and breakfast, check out of Tabacon Resort. Board the van for the two and a half hour drive up the mountains of the Central Valley, and back to the San Jose International Airport, in time to check in for your return flight.
